As a mom herself, Dr. Brothers knows how important convenience and efficiency are and delivers exactly that at Beach Cities Orthodontics. She grew up in the South Bay and loves to serve her local community through tailored treatments that fit your lifestyle, goals, and budget.

Dr. Brothers has extensive experience with complex, surgical orthodontic treatment and clear aligner therapy. She also likes to make treatment fun so appointments seem less like a chore and more like a fun visit with friends! Whether you’re a kid or an adult — we’ve got a solution for you and guarantee you will love your smile.

Dr. Brothers comes from a dental family, including both her parents who practiced general dentistry in Torrance for over 35 years (now retired), and her husband who is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. When she’s not in the office, she loves to ski, hike, travel, and dabble in creative projects including painting and video making. You’ll often find her out and about in the South Bay with her husband, two kids, and two dogs — please say hi!

Unlike mine, my son’s journey with braces here at Beach Cities orthodontists has been pretty smooth and painless. Dr. Sinclair is very knowledgeable and patient. Joanna is super kind, too. The only downside is that they only open 4 days a week and Dr. Sinclair’s availability is scarce.

My daughter has the Invisalign expander. Is has been a great experience. It’s been nice for her to be able to remove the expander whenever she needs to. It’s easy for her to clean, and every once in a while she can have gum since she’s able to remove it. That’s a plus in her book.

Started braces process here for my 9yr old daughter a few months ago and the whole staff is amazing. Always a breeze to check in and they are helpful and informative. My 9yr old coming in for her appointments. I'm so glad her dentist referred us here.

UPDATE 10/22/24
My now 10yr old daughter got her braces removed and the process was so simple they walked her through everything step by step so she knew exactly what was going on. They had this cute comfort menu for her that offered her different items to make her feel comfortable. The girl was really helpful and stopped a few times to check on her and make sure she was ok. She picked a neck pillow and a stress ball. So glad her dentist referred us here best orthodontist office.

This is my second time having to get ortho work done. The first time I went the traditional braces route; but now that I’m older I wanted something more discrete. Invisalign has provided the best of both worlds and I’ve been very impressed with the results I’ve seen so far. The office is also very organized and friendly - shout out to Dr. Brothers and Joana!
